Indonesia holds enormous potential to address the climate crisis, yet much of it remains underutilized. This message anchored Planet Carbon’s participation as an invited speaker at the Global Carbon Summit 2025, held in November and organized by Ecobiz Asia.

The international forum brought together industry leaders, policymakers, investors, carbon project developers, and innovators from around the world to discuss scalable climate solutions. Representing Planet Carbon, Managing Director and Co-Founder Kiagus Andre Zailani delivered a session titled “How the Agricultural Sector Can Power Indonesia’s Climate Legacy.”

The session highlighted how agricultural and plantation waste, when converted into biochar, can deliver meaningful climate impact by reducing emissions, permanently removing carbon, restoring degraded soils, and creating long-term economic value. The discussion positioned biochar as a practical and scalable climate technology that connects environmental outcomes with economic viability. By transforming waste into a valuable resource, biochar demonstrates how the agricultural sector can play a critical role in accelerating global climate action.
Planet Carbon believes this approach can support the pathway toward net-zero emissions by 2050 and inspire broader collaboration to deliver lasting benefits for businesses, communities, and the planet.
