From Waste to Value

Preserving our planet’s sustainability requires collective action. The significant challenges presented by ongoing climate change and global warming cannot be overlooked.

This situation is caused by various factors, and one of the significant to global carbon emission is Agriculture. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and other sources, agriculture accounts for about 10-12% of total global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions directly.

These figures highlight the critical role that sustainable agricultural practices and innovations, like converting biomass waste to biochar, can play in reducing global carbon emissions.

Biochar is a carbon removal technology that converts the carbon in the biomass that would otherwise decompose and release CO2  into a stable form that can be stored in soil for hundreds to thousands of years.

By doing so, biochar effectively removes carbon from the carbon cycle, preventing it from re-entering the atmosphere as CO₂. It is also a valuable product that also benefits soil health and agricultural productivity.
